Poly & Bark is a direct-to-consumer modern furniture brand known for design-forward pieces at price points that bypass the traditional retail markup.
The brand engaged Act Bold to do something most furniture brands accept as impossible: scale paid social profitably while building organic and AI visibility in parallel. The program runs across Meta, TikTok, and the major AI engines as one integrated system.

Paid social was profitable in pockets but plateauing — every audience expansion came with ROAS decay. Organic search was leaving demand on the table, and the brand was invisible to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews despite being a category leader.
Solution
Re-architected the paid social account around creative testing volume. Built a TikTok program from zero. Layered SEO + AEO to capture the demand paid was creating. One measurement stack across all three so the channels could be optimized together, not in silos.
Results
Blended ROAS of 4.7× across paid social. YoY revenue growth of 218%. Citations in 4 of 4 major AI engines. The paid-social plateau is gone, and organic + AEO now contribute compounding revenue that wasn't on the board at the engagement start.

Shifted the Meta account from ROAS-per-ad optimization to ROAS-per-creative-concept — more variant volume, faster kill cycles, library-driven concept launches. Built a TikTok program from zero on organic-feeling creative + spark ads. Result: blended ROAS 4.7× at scale, with TikTok now contributing meaningfully at a CPA below Meta.
Non-branded intent capture + AI engine positioning.
Rebuilt category and PDP architecture for non-branded furniture intent. Added comparison and how-to content to compete on consideration-stage queries. AEO content structured explicitly for citation by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews — the brand passed the citation test in all four engines during the engagement.
