SMS Terms

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This page describes the terms and conditions of the Act Bold Media Group SMS/text messaging program (the "SMS Program"). By voluntarily providing your phone number and explicitly opting in to text messages from Act Bold Media Group, you agree to the terms below.

01Program Overview

The SMS Program is operated by Act Bold Media Group, LLC (d/b/a Act Bold Digital Marketing). Every message we send identifies us as Act Bold Media Group.

You can join the SMS Program in two ways: by submitting the opt-in form at actbold.com/engage and ticking one or both consent boxes, or by giving verbal consent during a phone call with our team. There are two separate consents, one for informational messages and one for marketing messages. Both are optional, both boxes are unchecked by default, and you can agree to one without the other.

02What Messages You'll Receive

When you opt in, you may receive recurring automated text messages including, but not limited to:

  • Consultation and appointment reminders
  • Service updates and project status notifications
  • Promotional offers and special deals
  • Follow-up communications regarding your inquiry

Which of these you receive depends on the consent you gave:

Informational messages

I consent to receive text messages about consultation reminders, inquiry follow-ups, service updates, and project status notifications from Act Bold Media Group at the phone number I provided. I acknowledge that my consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies (up to 8 messages per month). Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out of receiving messages.

Marketing messages

I consent to receive marketing text messages, such as promotional offers, special deals, and exclusive promotions, from Act Bold Media Group at the phone number I provided, including messages sent via auto dialer. I understand that my consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies (up to 8 messages per month). Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out of receiving messages.

The wording above is the consent language shown on our opt-in form (consent version 2026-10-26.1).

03Sample Messages

Here are examples of the types of messages you may receive:

  • “Act Bold Media Group: Hi [First Name], your consultation is confirmed for Tuesday at 2 PM ET. Need to reschedule? Reply here. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • “Act Bold Media Group: Thanks for reaching out about your website. Your project brief is ready - we will walk you through it on our call. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • “Act Bold Media Group: This month only - a complimentary SEO + AEO audit for new clients. Details: actbold.com Reply STOP to opt out.”

04Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 8 messages per month, depending on your interactions with our services and active campaigns. During onboarding or promotional periods, frequency may temporarily increase.

05Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Act Bold Media Group is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

06How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by using one of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will receive a single confirmation message. No further messages will be sent.
  • You may also reply CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or END to opt out.
  • Email us at info@actbold.comwith the subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and include the phone number you wish to unsubscribe. Please allow up to 48 hours for email requests to be processed.

After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages from Act Bold Media Group unless you explicitly re-subscribe. Opting out of texts does not unsubscribe you from our emails, and opting out of emails does not affect texts.

09Information We Collect and Keep

When you opt in to the SMS Program, we collect and store:

  • Your mobile phone number
  • The date and time of your opt-in consent
  • The consent language you agreed to and its version
  • The page URL where you opted in
  • Your IP address and browser user agent at the time of opt-in, for consent verification
  • Records of messages sent to and received from your phone number, including STOP and HELP requests, and the date and time of any opt-out

We retain consent records for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of consent, or for the duration of your participation in the SMS Program plus five (5) years, whichever is longer. If you opt out, we keep a record of your opt-out so we can honor it. Opting out does not delete the other information you gave us, such as your name or email; see our Privacy Policy for how to request deletion.

10No Sharing of Opt-In Data

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number, SMS opt-in consent, or any data collected through our SMS Program with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your opt-in data is only shared with our SMS service provider solely for the purpose of delivering text messages on our behalf.

11Supported Carriers

Our SMS Program is supported on all major US mobile carriers, including but not limited to: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, Google Fi, Mint Mobile, Visible, and other regional carriers.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Act Bold Media Group is not responsible for messages that are not delivered due to carrier network issues, device incompatibility, or other factors outside our control.
